Question

Topic sez it all -

I'm out of contract - would really like an Orange SPV..... however, not prepared to pay the stupid upgrade charges... (even willing to lose number if it's free!)

also wifey will be out of contract in the next couple of weeks - wants a Samsung T100 (same sort of deal as above)

the gauntlet has been thrown down!!! who's got the best deal??

Cheers,

Dan

hi,

www.mobiles.co.uk are good, also www.phones4u.co.uk

You wont be dissapointed by the t100 my girlfriend has just bought one, and its better than my 7210 i just bought the other day...

If you get them off the internet you can get them pretty cheap..!!

You can 'upgrade' to a T100 for about £79.99.. on www.orange.co.uk

www.111-mobiles.co.uk/acatalog/connections_orange.html

just looking in the paper today phones4u had an offer on for 'new contract'..

these are all on orange..!!

Samsung T100..... £25..!!!

Nokia 7650...... £90

Motorola T720.....£50

T68i..............£25

Nokia 8310........£5..... yes 5 quid.!

I just got rid of my old t68 and would not really recomend them... i would go for either the T100 or the motorola T720.

So get to a phones4u store..!

Dan

Phones4u are nren't doing the 7650 for £90,they are doing it for FREE!!

the Link offer all phones on T Mobile for free, but you have to go on quite a high monthly tarif.

I used that as a starting point and asked some shops to beat it.Phones4you offered the 7650 for FREE,on a Vodaphone 350 contract (any network inc in the inclusve 350 minutes,£26.99 inc vat a month). This tariff is comparable to most that i saw.You can add 100 texts for only 2.99.So for £30 a month its v.good, and the Nokia was bugger all!

All depends on what network you want it on and how much you want to spend on a tariff. Certain tariffs will let you get most of the handsets your interested in for free. e.g.

http://www.directmobilephones.com/special_offers2b.htm

Obviously £50 pm doesnt suit most people.

Simon.

My girlfriend has one and I prefer it to my T68i. The Ericsson has a lot more features but I dont use them tbh.

you do realise the 'cheap' or 'free' phones are actually subsised by the 'line rental'.

Just buy a SIM pack and a new phone.

Very true! You must look at the cost over 12 months as this is usually the minimum.

Best I've found for £15 a month:

Samsung T100 - £29.99
Ericsson T68i - free

Loads of other phones free from £12-£15 a month.

http://www.themobilerepublic.com/dea...orderby=rental

Edited to say they have the SPV free + £25 a month.

Can't decide whether to go for the T100 or the T68i. Which would you choose?

T100 has the far better screen but t68i has more functions..i was going to buy the t68i but its getting a bit old now,so im thinking i might look at the new motorola t720 or have another look at the t100.

Ring Orange

Say you want to leave, get put through to the department who arrange disconnections - say you have been dissatisfied with service etc and very unhappy about uprade being £180 (or whatever) and you are going to leave unless they provide you a new SPV free of charge (on your chosen tariff)

Worked for me!

Oh and the upgrades department are crap and won't discount etc so don't waste much time talking to them!

Oh and if you do go for a new contract remember - with orange you can change your tariff each month if you want so it may be worth paying an extra £10 for a month on a dear tariff!

(check the small print as some sellers say their price is subject to you staying on that tariff for 3/4 months before changing others don't - certainly you should never have to wait longer before changing)
