Unhappy

I've got my PS2 plugged into the RGB scart socket on my tv. colours on games are fine, but (and I did only try one region 2 dvd) the dvd playback has a green hue over the screen.

Any ideas? is it broken?

The green hue is stop people copying the films to video - as when using a RGB Scart lead the signal cannot carry the macrovision copy protection - therefore they have tinted the screen green to deter people.
Film companies do not want DVD players to have an RGB output allowing people to disable the macrovision copy protection.
If you want a better picture - try the S video lead.

Forgot to add when you use the leads and Scart block supplied - it's fine - it's only when you use a RGB scart lead that you get the green tint! - it still plays the games fine with the RGB scart - it just tints the movies.

The PlayStation 2 is supplied with composite leads (yellow, white and red) and a scart block to connect them if you wish to TV/Video etc
