Anyone here got a Sharp GX1? Great little phone but I can't seem to email a photo (jpg file) to an email account.

Anyone help?

P.S I've read the handbook, still can't work it out!

Cheers.

SS.

Sorry if this is obvious, but you have set up the phone to send and receive emails, haven't you?

I didn't think the GX1 had an email client, you can only use the MMS function to send pictures, although you should be able to send an MMS to an email address or number.

The Panasonic GD87 does have an email client in addition to MMS.

attach the pic to a mms message, in the to field hold down star to swap from numbers to letters, type the email address, send. not figured out how to use an address from the address book but works if you just type it in.

Burr - I haven't, but didn't think I needed to as it was an upgrade.

Ian_S - I can attach a picture but I can't get the @ sign. When typing an SMS message, pressing the hash key gives you options (like (, . :;@ etc etc) but when doing an MMS it won't work.

Help!

Surely the mail has to be relayed via an SMTP server? I know my SPV had to be set up for email sending and receiving b4 I could email photos.
