Would you be terribly upset if I said "No"?

Got it working? Works fine for me.

would work if we weren't going through proxy servers!

Talking

Don't forget that if you have multiple users that are behind a (say, corporate) proxy server on the other side of the Internet (wherever that is ), they'll all have the same 'static' IP address ie the address of THEIR proxy server. You'd need to find the socket they were on to track them continuously, but I don't think you can get that in ASP (..and some proxies vary the socket used by the same 'internal' user anyway)

You haven't said what you're really trying to do, but how about putting a cookie on the users machine and tracking that?

M - time and a half please as its after 5pm
