Yeah, £5 ....... if you're lucky!!

The deal is "£5 for the first CD, but you can select additional CD's for £8.99". Unfortunately, they've got a really stupid system. Because there's a hell of a lot of traffic on the site, it's taking ages to move fom one page to the next. Having selected my CD, I ended up with the old "page not found" routine having been timed out. Going back to the original selection page, and trying again, the system assumes that I've already had my £5 CD, and now wants to charge me £8.99! Great!!

I guess I'll have to re-register tonight using another e-mail address. What a pain!

ie get you in for the £5 offer, suddenly there are non left, so you can choose to buy some for £8.99

8.99 is still an excellent price for a CD. If you don't want to try virgin because of their tactics, use this lot:

That's exactly what I was going to post. I was on CD-WOW last night and they had stuff saying please wait upto 14 days for your CDs etc if you've ordered through the Virgin.net deal.

I agree with you though - CD-WOW are great. I buy the majority of my CDs from there, usually delivered in 48 hours.
