This film is a must to see
Lots more fighting and as close to the book as you can get without making things too uninteresting (not to say that the book was uninteresting though ).
Better without the kids i feel, but at over 3hrs long, id ensure you have enough popcorn to keep you going

Given that I fell asleep in the 1st LOTR movie I'll not be rushing to the cinema (unless I've got some serious insomnia to cure ). LOTR looked impressive though (but that was it).

All ill say about the film is that it flies by for the 3 1/4 hrs its on for and its gripping stuff
Better than the first part, but that part of the book was quite slow anyway

Absolutely superb film. I'll be going back to watch it a second time. The only thing to spoil it somewhat for me, was the three cokcy will teenagers behind, who insisted on talking during the film. Was out of my seat ready to throttle them at one point. Funny how all the lip disappeared when I cornered one of them alone after the film.

Well wish I could remember what the film was about, after about 10 mins into the film some refugees from Eastern Europe I presume, sneaked into the showing we was at, with get this, their 2 kids! Who could not of been older than about 18 months and 2 and a half years. I did not spot them at first as they kept quiet, but after some pretty gory scene, the older of the two started to scream its feckin head off. I then had to put up with the female inaccurately reading the subtitles for the bloke. In the end they put the eldest kid down and let it run about!
As if that was not enough we also had to put up with 200 poxy teenagers mobile phones going off all the time. That is the last time I will be visiting the MGM in Staines.
Anyone who is a parent to young kids will understand how frustrating it is, that on the rare occasion that you do manage to get a babysitter you can trust, you have your first evening out in 6 months spoiled by someone else's kids!

"Fanbloodytastic"!!!
What a great film, Helms Deep battle was mint, and as for Gollum, better than I imagined, really makes you feel pity for him and his reference to Shelob at the end the kids will be running out at that point in the next film
A few obvious changes though, but all in all a very good film, now then roll on "TROTK" next year that will have some truly epic battle scenes in, can't wait!!

ian/555 you need to speak out mate. Dont just sit there and take that cr@p.
I watched two towers last night and the family behind us were non stop talk. Fair enough in the trailers etc but once the film has started you shut the f*ck up. But no they didnt and kept tapping their feet on the back of my girlfriends seat. My girlfriend complained out loud and they were quiet after that.
A while back we had a drunken couple where the girl was repeating everything that was said on screen. Someone went out and told the cinema staff. 2 mins later security came in - watched them then ejected them out of the cinema which everyone appreciated.
People like that make my blood boil.
Simon.

Lol forgot to talk about the film. At 3 hours I again thought it was too long. My *** was getting numb and I was checking my watch. Best bit was where Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli get surrounded by the horseman. Gimli is threatened to have his head chopped off and Legolas pulls his bow out quicker than u can blink and says "you will be dead before u even raise your blade". Deffo the best character IMHO.
Was also amazing how such as ugly thing as Golam could get all the ooohs and aaahs from audience.

Fantastic film. The time wizzed by in the cinema. The Ents were brillant and the battles truely epic.
I've read my way through Mr Tolkien's collective works a few times and it's been done very very well. The only thing I dislike it the fact that I've gotta wait a year until Return of the King!!

went to see it tonight.
they changed a few things from the book, but guess thats to be expected
was looking forward to the orcs being all killed in the woods at the battle of helms deep
gollum was well 'played'... showing his 2 sides.
great battle scenes.
definately didnt feel like 3 hours.. well.. actually... it did feel like 3 hours on my ***
lots of funny bits in it...
gimli on the wall
gollum catching the fish in the pool and singing
gimli and legolas are cool characters... comedy duo but kick *** in the fight scenes
Aragon will be good to see as the king in the next one
liked the ents
computer generation is probably the best ive seen in any movie
gonna go see it again soon, if i can persuade my *** to recover
