Too much!
A usual big Friday night, the same Saturday but sometimes all day and the occasional Sunday blast.
Don't really touch it in the week except for the odd glass of wine.
I currently live in an environment where getting cained is the norm, but will be leaving it very soon to move away for a change of career. So, that should calm it all down!
Edited to say the above amount stated is approx a 40% reduction in what I used to drink!

I always thought an alcoholic was someone that couldn't operate properly without booze, or allow a day to pass without the stuff.
Did the test and got a 3.

Me and the Madam where talking about our alcohol related drinking habits today and she thinks we should cut down. I work away from home and for those three days don't drink any alcohol at all. Neither does she.
On the three days I have off we probably share a bottle of wine in the evening and have a couple of large-ish Gin & Tonics before bed. Never any more than this. This isn't for any reasons other than we don't feel the need. But again she wants us to cut down. Maybe, who knows....
So it got me thinking....What are my fellow car enthusiasts drinking habits like? Do you drink a lot? Not enough!?
Whatever, lets have a 'chat' about it....

I usually have the following :-
A couple of pints of Carlsberg Export (about tea time)
Maybe a couple of Vodka & redBull
Every now and again, a couple of glasses of wine too
This isn't EVERY night, but pretty much every other.....
Just as a social/winding down session
Is this too much?

Married with kids, typically share a bottle of wine per night. Maybe a nightcap (one shot of spirits) for me, but very rarely any more than that.
What you've said doesn't sound excessive to me.

I drink way too much, and it's difficult to turn it around.
Combine that with the fact I never really get "drunk", and still am able to type it's a recipe for disaster.
A rule of thumb: whilst posting, count the number of times you hit backspace, and multiply that with the number of speeeling errors that you still leave in there whilst hitting "Submit"
If you wonder about drinking too much, you do drink too much.
OTOH, controlled drinking can also keep you from going totally insane
Difficult one, that.

according to the no-fun-brigade that is probably too much.
boll0ks i say! if you are comfortable carry on in the same fashion.
i personally smoke alot (cigarettes and da 'erb) and drink frequently. a few times i question it all, and prob will again in january!
caining is probably better though, a bit foggy in the morning if you have had a proper smoke - but then you are away after half hour. gentle use seems to have no after morning effect. i have tested this theory for some time now!
hangovers are more subtle than you might think and bad ones as we all know ***** your day totally.
free the weed!

Mista meava, believe me smoking the herb does affect you!
Regardless of every thing you have been told, most people who smoke it are of the opinion it is normal, and they are not addicted, causes no harm etc - of course this is complete bollocks!

Go here, register and take the test. It will tell you if you have a drinking problem and help you reduce your intake if you want to.
I found it very useful in reducing my consumption.

I don't drink that much, but when I do I would be a bit merry on a few pints. If out on the booze it'll usually be 2 pints then onto the smirnoff ice, and I'm pretty fine, tipsy, but a laff (see muppet bbq photos for proof! lol)
I don't think I need to cut down, if anything, need to drink a bit more, mainly to keep up with the g/f! lol

Not so long ago me and the wife were on a bottle of wine each every night, just to "relax".we both work strange hours, working around school hours ain't easy, working out to be around £200 a month!! and gaining loads of weight, now we only drink once or twice and having a craze on martini at the moment..wakeing up does fell dreadful anymore.

There's a laugh and there's plain scarey mate
Usually go out for a pub quiz Thursday night, so 4, maybe 5 pints.
Maybe one night over the weekend as well, so another 4 pints or so.
Most week nights don't even consider it.
