Whitney admits abusing drugs

Whitney Houston has admitted in a US TV interview that she has abused drugs.

However, she claims prayer has helped her through that time.

She has also discussed the pressures of stardom and her decade-long marriage to Bobby Brown.

Interviewer Diane Sawyer asked her: "Is it alcohol? Is it marijuana? Is it cocaine? Is it pills?"

Houston responded: "It has been at times."

The 39-year-old conceded she is "addicted to a few things."

Houston also says she's not anorexic or bulimic: "Let's get that straight. I am not sick. OK? I've always been a thin girl. I am not going to be fat, ever. Let's get that straight. Whitney is not going to be fat, ever."

Bobby Brown also appeared in the interview, and said he has frequently used marijuana because he's been diagnosed with a brain disorder.

The 33-year-old was arrested last month in Atlanta on drug and traffic charges.

"Me and drugs. We're not friends. We're not friends at all," Brown said. "I'm a very high-strung person. Marijuana seems to help me from going up and down."

i was shocked when i saw the new Ja Rule and Bobby Brown video, he looked awful compared to his younger days, his mouth looks like hes had a stroke and his teeth are orange and miles apart shame, it shows what money and boredom can do.

 

Bobby's story about why he uses weed reminds me of interviews with Tricky from a year or so ago. He claimed his legendary temper, mood swings & paranoia was because of the yeast infection Candida .... nothing at all to do with the fact he smokes about an ounce of finest hydroponic chronic a day, of course ...
