Hi

Pls can someone give me some ideas for a cheap entry level radar detector, prices and links as to where I can buy one from.
Budget is 150ish.

Halfords do cheap radar detectors, dunno if they are any good but worth having a look.

From when I've seem them in use, they're good for telling you when your getting close to the front doors at Tescos...

Have a look at this website before you buy. I have been having a look at them and basically to get any sort of reliable prtection you need three devices.

1 A radar detector
2 Global positioning device (For fixed camera location)
3 A laser jammer

Cost you about 1200 quid to get the lot if you go for the best

Once you've had a look at the site you will be put off buying a cheapy

pointless buying a cheap one. need to be lookin at a bel 550 or a snooper s5...

Budget for £200+ for a reliable one,not one that goes off all the time and doesnt pick up gatso's

The Snooper SD715iS isnt too bad, £200 from halfords. Takes a little getting use too, but saved my licence to many times to count now. (can get annoying though, turn it off in town)

No1Rich, I don't think so mate. I've got the same thing here and don't bother using it. The thing is that it beeps even at traffic lights so of course you'd drive slower than usual.
