After my old man blew a fuse, i thought i'd ask for everybody's help. He's trying to replace a light switch. The one he is taking off has two red wires twisted together, and one on it's own.
My thinking is that the two twisted are: one for power and one to link all the light switches.
The one on it's own will be the one which goes to the light.
With this in mind how would it wire up to this switch?

Do the two twisted stay twisted? and where would you stick them?
Just for the record, i think that we should separate the twisties and stick one in L1 and One in L2. This will leave the other wire for the hole on the left.
BTW - what does that symbol represent?

Talking

bit blurry (due to drink). Looks like a dinosaur bird to me. I'll come back tomorrow and have a less blurry look

Well, I reckon is it's a two way switch. The Teradactyl symbol is for a common connection, represented by the 'C' in the piccie.

I think I need a bigger piccie
