Mercedes C250TD was a nightmare.
The car was absolute crap, spent more time in the workshop than on the road. Have to say though, the level of customer from Falcon Mercedes in Loughborough is second to none.
Then I bought a Scoob.

My most recent motor, classic shape saab 900 turbo. Nothing buy f-ing problems. Gearbox went 3 days after I bought it. Headlining sags, engine keeps re-tuning itself. Turbo pipes keep blowing off on the motorway. Brake master cylinder went. But hey, if it HAD have been reliable I wouldnt have bought my Scoob

Sorry to say Subaru Impreza STI2 in the course of 1 year
Big end failure rebuild cost £3500
Cluch failure £1000
Head gasket blown engine out rebuild again! £1900
Gearbox v noisey.. was on the way £2000+ to rebuild/fit
Exhaust, heater shield, back box.....all fell to bits
Interior.. seat material wore out stuffing changed shape carpets desintegrated
water leaks in car/boot
radiator died
wipers gave up the ghost
sensor problems too numerous to mentions
Joke brakes discs replaced, warped replaced, warped etc
over boost shutdown without any reason?
Never really ran well
And the cost of parts ...UNBER-FLUKING-LIEVABLE
Great car though when working!
Had 2 more since MY01 and now STI7 with warranty!
no problems at all!

Probably a 309 GTi, the rear beam went on me so needed replacing, cost was 800 quid, had some problems with the accellerator cable but apart from that it wasnt too bad (for a car with 101k on the clock and 10 yrs old).

i must say mine was a black renault 5gtl with orange cloth interior and wheels the width of a prawn cracker, mechanically it was good .....well except when i jacked it up to change tyre and the axel stayed on the road! but the body work was so bad i filled all the rusty parts with filler and re-painted it(by hand...yes wuth a brush) and then in a moment of sheer brilliance i decided to do the bumpers aswell! not black though,oh no i decided to do them WHITE!! ..what a car, just a pity i looked like an advert for berti bassett..
