Ive been watching the news, and they are giving the impression that the vast majority or the public are backing the firemen.I work in peoples houses all the time and they allways seem to bring this topic up in general conversation.I have only had one person say that they are backing the firemen all the way,all the rest feel they are taking the pi$$ now.Considering that ive net about 40/50 different members of public this week,it seems to me that the media is trying to twist it all around as per usual.
Im not a political person at all,but i feel that the govt. has acted in our best interests and are showing themselves to be strong and wont be walked over.

Am i just talking a load of cr@p,or is this the general oppinion out there now?

Had a straw poll at work and out of approx 30 people not one supports the firemen.

All my family members think the fireman should go back to work and stop putting the people ie taxes payers who pay their wages at risk.

Thumbs down

I agree, the BBC and ITV to try to put the case that it is all the government's fault and claim that public support is solid. Their propoganda isn't working though, clearly.

Ch4 seem a bit more balanced.

Wink

Hold on the government IS the BBC...More biased than a biased thing! Perhaps it's a double bluff

Funnily enough I've not yet met anyone who supports the idea of the 40% rise...has anybody?
