Does anybody know where I could get cover for a group 14 car for 1 day only and if so what is the likely cost ?
I am currently not insured on a car so can't just use my own insurance, albeit with 3rd party cover.

Do car Insurers *do* insurance for 1 day? Whenever I add the 2nd car onto my policy it is for a minimum of 1 week...whether I need it for 1 hour or 4 days...

Cant you get the owner to put you on the policy for one day?

You should be able to take out a policy and then cancel it. There's a 1 week "cooling-off" type time where you can change your mind and get your money back.

When I was changing cars, I paid £25 a week to cover the old one third party fire and theft. Don't know if that is only allowable if you have another car covered fully comp, though.
