Can I just connect the audio out from the TV into the surround sound amplifier with a single pair of phono leads - or is it advantageous to connect the audio out from the VHS and the Cable Box seperatly into the amp and by pass the TV altogether?

Also is it worth using expensive interconnects from the VHS/Cable Box like you would with hi-fi seperates?

Cheers

If the telly and vid are both Nicam then either will do, if just the vid is Nicam then take the audio out from that. I wouldn't spend a lot on interconnects.
