Had my Ericcson T68i for 6 months now and already bored of it. It may have every feature under the sun (GPRS, Tri-band, Wap etc) but it cant even get day to day features right. The vibrate function is pants - I often take it out of my pocket to find text messages Ive missed. The volume is way too low even on max. The ringtones are bollocks and sound even worse than my 8210.

Looking at getting something like the Samsung T100 as I dont need GPRS and quite fancy the polyphonic ringtones.

Is upgrading on Vodafone like Orange (whom I was with before for 3 years) i.e. you have to wait 12 months to complete your initial contract or pay more dosh on top???

I'm afraid yes, you have to wait 12 months.

I've been with them for years.. it seems the best way to get the phone you want (after the minimum 12 months) is to ring up retention and say you want to leave cos you can get X phone for free when starting a new contract with X and the contract is cheaper and gives you what you want etc... But first off, go in to your local vodafone store and ask about upgrades... only get heavy handed (retention depart.) if you feel they are con'ing you.

My boss is on Vodafone & called them saying he is currently in town looking at offers in the different shops & said can he have an upgrade, they said yes sir that will be X amount of £'s.

He then told them to forget it & he will get a new contract with a free phone some where else. They then turned round and asked him what phone he was looking at (think it was the nokia 6510)..........two days latter what do you think turned up at the office????........a new Nokia 6510 free of charge

He now has about 4 of these phones in the office
