I see there are quite a few of these keyring style cameras around at the moment. Which ones do you recommend as Im looking at spending about £40? Even better if you can post some sample photos taken with ur chosen camera.
Cheers,
Simon.

I know it's not within budget but look at :
http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/productdetailsnew.asp?modelcode=SON-DSCU10
Really is the dogs bits, as someone here has just shown me one. £160, but worth every penny - 1.3 megapixel AND a flash - a PROPER digital camera - not the junk at £40 where piccy quality is dire.
Feels so so solid.
VERY VERY small.

Ive got one of these P1 its called a L'espion they have the build quality of a cheap christmas crackertoy bought fom cheap crap rus cheap town.
the pics all have very blurred edges (well is say edges you actually get a small central portion of the pic in focus).
and dont let the batteries run out before you download as you lose all youre pics.

I've got the SiPix mini digicam from firebox which is £40. Much better than the L'espion, from what I can make out from stats.
Picture quality is pretty crap, and I tend to take 3 or 4 shots of everything to make sure I 'get a good one.' Some shots come out very well, but no chance on close-ups (<1m) and don't even think about low lighting conditions.
I really only bought it to see if I could convince myself to spend a few hundred on a decent digital camera and colour printer. Battery life is a problem - Make sure you remove the battery after transferring your shots to PC and it won't trickle drain. Otheriwse pick up the camera in a week or two and the battery will be dead.
I can mail you a couple of pics if you like to show you the sort of quality you might expect.

FYI Ordered the Mustek G-Smart 2 Mini for £49 all in from dabs.com - looks a lot better quality than the rest of the £40 crap you see for sale and its only a tenner more:
