What, and dogs or aquariums dont smell the house out more than a Cat 
Our cats are like members of the family and $hit in our own back yard as they are female and newtured. If anyone touched them, well lets just say I went to school with people who now do 'things' for money. :0

You bunch of miserable old whingers, I'd keep my two cats over the kids any day of the week, the cost less to run, they make less mess, they are much friendlier (on their terms admittedly) and above all they are better company
And as an added bonus, when they reach their late teens you can be pretty sure they are not far off dying, unlike kids, whose running costs then reach astronomical proportions[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
BTW Swan, in my experience, cats are not more intelligent than dogs they just had better PR, the youngest of my two is the stupidest creature I have ever encountered in my life

Seems to me there is an unhealthy number of regular posts on this BBS in either specific threads or as an aside in others, of cat hating? Often with rather blinkered views, and sometimes just darn right stupid ones.
How about giving cats a rest for a while and pick on some other animal?

My cat is fantastic. I love them! Dogs on the other hand ..... dog **** is one of he most offensive substances known to man or woman - f*cking irresponsible owners, do my head in.

Sure some of you would not find it so funny if you saw the sort of stuff people like the Koreans for eg get up to. Cats get boiled alive - literally. Dogs are hung by the neck and hit with lump hammers to tenderise whilst still alive. Etc etc. Expect the same people that hate cats, and/or dogs think fox hunting is OK? How about seal culling in Canada? OK so fish stocks would be harmed without it, but many seals are skinned alive - that ok as well is it?
I am not mental. I am not an animal activist or the like. But, I don't think derogatory comments about animals that cannot defend themselves are funny, and I certainly do not understand why it is necessary for sites like the cathate.co.uk (whatever) to exists, or even appeal.

No stupid enough to miss the fact some people are posting tongue in cheek, its the sincere comments that get me agro.
