So who is the 'well-known' TV presenter that 'allegedly' raped Ulrika when she was 19? Apparently 'everyone' in TV knows who it is. Even Jonathan Ross said he thought he knew on his show the other night?

 

My guess is Stan Collymore, since he was the one who was knocking her around. Can't remember if she was seeing him when she was 19, though.

Does anyone really care? The old slapper's just trying to create a media storm with all this rubbish about "I'm not going to say who it is" rubbish.

If I was the guy, I'd catch her on the back foot and go public, asking her to prove the allegations and suing her if she can't susbstantiate them.

 

Ahh I feel quite sorry for her think she's quite sad with herself and insecure.
Don't reckon it would be Stan though probably someone you would least expect it to be.
IMHO she's not a slapper she's just scrutanised every move she makes.

I'm sure whoever it is will be in the paper tomorrow or the day after now its public and Ulrika is under pressure from Rape pressure groups to report him, which she really should do if she thinks he's guilty of rape.

That could get nasty. Whoever it is will probably end up sueing her for libel/slander/defamation of character because if he doesn't, it will look like an admission of guilt. Proving it one way or the other is only going to make some rich lawyers richer.

 

She's already said there's no way of proving it, particularly 'cos it happened 19 years ago and only her and her 'assailant' were present.

because she wrote an 'autobiography' - ie a story about her life. It would be a pretty useless autobiog if she left out such an important event as 'being raped'...

I have a close friend that has been through this sort of ordeal, and it has taken her years to get to a point where they aren't scared to walk down the high street without constantly look over their shoulder. Even now, if some looks like or has the same car, it can cause her to panic..

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now, a lot of you have seen me post this before...

Rape is a terrible ordeal and people (male and female) who it has happened to never really get over it, they learn to cope, the amount of people she has slept with means jack sh*t to me, that's probably her way of coping but she has left herself open to this sort of criticism by putting it in her book. I feel sorry for her cause people are gonna think it's a publicity stunt or attention seeking. It's sad she did nothing about it at the time

Its sad world we live in nowadays when having sex with someone and regreting it the next day is also considered as rape..

 

From a female standpoint, why on earth has she brought it into the public's eye if she didn't want to do anything about it? Doing that and then refusing to 'name and shame' also doesn't help women in a current similar situation about coming forward.It seems to me that it is just a publicity stunt to try to get some sympathy after the backlash of the Eriksson/football saga where she was vilified.

 

The absolute number of people she's slept with is irrelevant. It's the number of people she's had affairs with, and publicised having relationships with.

WTF can't celebrities at least attempt to keep their private lives private? It's one thing getting 'exposed' by a tabloid (a la Deayton) but quite another to go blowing your trumpet the way Ulrika has.

Sorry didn't mean to poke fun of her as above I genuinely feel sorry for her.

 

If she was raped, then I feel for her. Extremely unpleasant situation that I wouldn't wish on anyone. However, should she have wanted to, I don't know, purge those ghosts after all these years, then surely a Rape Counsellor or something would have been a far better way of going about it. Standing in the street shouting "OI, I was raped but that's all I'm going to say" will have 2 reactions :

a) people running up and fussing over her
b) people going "oh..." and ignoring her.

For the record - I'm not condoning her methods for 'dealing' with it - and certainly can't comment on whether it happened or not.

Just something that winds me up, as the police's advice in my friends case was 'his word against hers, best she see a counseller and just get over it'.

Well apparently the alledged assailents name is available on the internet. Of course in media circles the name is also well known, however I don't know who it was!

It has been said the alledged rapist is a well known TV presenter who has done similar things to other people, who are consiidering whether to come forward or not.

Naming him of course is not an offence as long as he is guilty and of course proving it is difficult.

As regards how manypeople have slept with Ulrika who cares? She was asked about this on telly the other day, think it was Johnathon Ross who asked. Her response was its not many you just know about thm all. This is a fair point. Ulrika is 35 or 36 and has been named as sleeping with 7 or so people. Is that a lot?
