MarkO/Webreaper....
Since ive owned (and even before i owned) my MY00 turbo i endulged on Scoobynet to get information about my car (or read up about what faults my car has etc) and i know you probably started out as a joke but IMHO what Simon and the other Moderators do (for nothing BTW!) to provide this invaluable service for a community of over 18000 members is a service that they provide for FREE!
They put their own time in when they could be doing something else like going down the pub or off on holiday, something that others seem to take for granted
These people are giving up time that they could be spending with their wives or girlfriends (and in Chelle's case Boyfriend) and you sit there and abuse it
I have to say that what you put down in the other threads was pretty much as childish as you can get and i support the fact that Simon disabled your username.
If you wish to give up your extra time for a few years then do it by supporting Scoobynet, Simon and the other Moderators but dont take the P155 out of it as you will end up being a minority in a majority who actually support and enjoy using this BB.

If you also think that Scoobynet has never had any action taken against it for liable then also think again this is one of the reasons that you will see alot of threads either having something deleted or the entire thread being deleted yes there is freedom of speech but also its not your money if someone else comes on here, slates company A with a thread with a sensitive content about xxxxx saying it sucks and they are a rip off etc, you may think that running this server is cheap too but it isnt so support it! dont slate it

Regards
Tony

Posted in another thread by Neil Smalley (moderator):
I think it best if everyone keeps their sticky beaks out, and let Simon and WR sort it out via email.
Which bit of this don't you understand?

Cool

Yeah, Tony, this is between MarkO and Simon.

However, if you want some 'action', argument-wise, I'm available now for trolling, bitching, slander, flashing letters, and bah-mitzvahs.

Unhappy

The only sad thing about the demise of MarkO was that I can't give it "I've been around since 1998" and all that any more.

GrimReaper

Know what you mean - I used to be able to go back to 1999. Them were the good old days, we could sit around the car park pontificating about PE rollers and their accuracy, gawp in amazement at the members of Steps that StuartH knew (and had had in the back of his car, fnarr, fnarr), and marvel at how Harj could pay for all these cars that were about to arrive any day now, honest.

Mind you, the PE roller debate STILL seems to be going on.

Did anyone actually ever prove one way or the other whether a certain 22B engine failed due to a certain tuning company or was it just a generic bearing failure.

I'm staying well out of those topics. I'll stick to flashing letters, I think.

Mark,
what im trying to get at here is the fact that you having posted well over 2000 posts should know that this community needs your support something that you were not doing and so i support the actions of the Moderators and Simon.
I am not getting at the fact that you and Simon have some "off screen" talking to do but you totally took the P155 out of Scoobynet and the hard work that goes into it which is a little annoying
I feel that the fact that we do get Scoobynet for free we dont always look at what goes on behind the scene's and the hard work that people (Moderators and non-moderators) put into the likes of keeping the Subaru Community as a whole together
I also believe that unless you have active participation in running/moderating Scoobynet then all other requests/suggestions should be sent by email to the WebMaster, good imput is better than bad publicity IMHO.

LOL Tony. So what you're saying is that 'cos we get it for free, nobody should say anything bad about it?

A lot of anti-Microsoft people might get a bit miffed with that attitude.

I'm listening Tony.

There are few people in this community that could claim to have contributed as much as tony behind the scenes including a large personal charity donation on behalf of scoobynet.

I really hope we don't soon say "I miss the days when we all wanted to support each other."

That's the main reason I took scoobynet on originally.

All the best

Simon
