I have just bought it and it goes like **** off a shovel but;
As the first car I ever drove was an Austin a 30, I am used to not having power steering on the smaller saloon. The last car I had was a Citroen bx. This had PAS but as it was a big estate car it was fine. I was out driving my new motor the other day with my wife and her Fembot mate in the back and I made the comment that the power steering seems to be fighting with me round the long right and left handers ! Well, as they have always driven cars with PAS, they thought I was 'BONKERS'. All the small cars I used to drive without PAS ( escorts, 1100's even Ford Anglias )seemed to grip better. I know this seems like 'bollocks' But there you go.

I had this problem with my ****roen xzara. Someone had replaced the PAS fluid with mushy peas - I'd get it checked if I were you.
