i have mission 702e's, which size/type of floor spikes are best for these things?
also i get some distortin from one of them that goes away when the tower is held???? what might cause that??

You don't say how old they are?
Mission are pretty good on warranty, so if the vibration can't be cured easily, contact them. Try tightening the speaker mounting screws with an appropriate allen key.
If you think it's the cabinet, you could take one of the drive units off, for a look inside, then run some glue around any suspect joints. I'd be inclined to let Mission, or a dealer, have a look if it isn't drive unit looseness.
Can't help with the spikes though. I thought all spikes were the same size? Do you mean the thread size? If so, you could thread a bolt in, then ask for some the same size, or just ask a Mission dealer.

moved from spikes to isolation pad thingys as we have wood floors.
Much better.
