* * WARNING police speed trap A404* *
There is a police speed trap south bound on the A404 Marlow bypass at the moment. There is a layby half way down and there is an artic parked in there with a van in front with a camera in front of the van. Beware

Thanks for the warning Paul. Why choose that stretch of road I wonder? - dead straight, only 1 exit, very few accidents (as far as I am aware). Obviously cant be for "revenue collection" cos they dont do that!

Cheers for the info...B@stards! So easy to pick up speed on that downhill stretch!
I' m surprisingly pleased with the Seat, Quite fun to drive once the traction control's switched off, and it's surprised a lot of people who don't expect to get whooped by a Seat
Will hang on to it for a while until funds/house thing sorts itself out, then I'm pretty sure I'll be back to Scooby ownership!
How's the Grale?

It is too easy to get speed up on the A404
it's a nice straight road with a hill to build speed up. Normally the police sit on the bridge over the marlow junction but now they are doing this. Luckily I never use that stretch of road and use the old road instead because it is more exciting and faster

'Grale is playing me up
I have a few electrical problems I need to sort but with it getting dark at night and my garage having no light I am finding it hard to find the time and light to look at it.

Shame the Grale's got Gremlins, be nice to see it on the road again...

Thats the one
it leads down to my house and I know it very well. I remember scaring astraboy in my old XR4I down there last year
I have only completed 100 miles of the running in period in the lancia so far. If you want to meet up sometime (which would be cool
) just drop me a mail to paulandcat@tiscali.co.uk because my work email is down
Cheers

Never thought I'd say it but....luckily the office has just moved to Slough
Used to travel along there at least twice a day.
The question of 'why' is a pertinant one though - it can only be to line their pockets. No other reason.
