Price for a re-spray

I need my bumper re sprayed and the garage quoted me £ 280, told them it seemed too much and he suggested he could do it as a " private " job for me at the weekend.
I dont want to take the **** but would should I be looking at offering for the job, bumper needs removing, Keying ( which is why the paint is coming off ), spray and refit.
Im thinking about £ 100 ! too much / too little ?

ages ago i had some MK5 Escort bumpers sprayed at a proper Ford garage "privately" for £100 each, not the same but a bit of an idea.
The only thing that concerned me is lack of gurantee.
