Depending on your PIR, there may be one in the box.
Two lights from one PIR is easy, just run two seperate wires, one to each light, or, if they're both in the same direction from the PIR, connect PIR to one, then from that one to the next, ie: two wires in each hole at the "first" light's connector block.
As regards premanently on, you need a lightswitch(!!!), take a Positive (live) feed to it from the same place you're getting the feed for the PIR, then from the other side of this switch, to the terminal on the PIR marked "Load".

Trying to install 2x500w lights both "comanded" by one PIR.

Also want to have an "always on" switch as well.

Any 'trician be able to do me a simple +ve / -ve type diagram please?

Just make sure the relay in the first floodlight is capable of switching 4.16 Amps..

Watts / Volts = Amps

1000 / 240 = 4.16

If it is then Supply the first light with three core and earth lighting wire... wiring it as normal then use the second wire to provide a switched live, and then connect the other light across this floodlights bulb connection in parallel... this is easier on some floodlights than others...

What connections can you get to.. .do you just have L E N ?? or do you have others?

It has only LEN with a cable in for power & a cable out for lamps (shared earth, shared neutral, live a-piece). Max rating is 2000W incandescant & 600W flourescent.

So what I need to do is to run a closure switch that by-passes the PIR (to the lives of each cable) to have an always on over-ride?

 

yup.. wire it in as normal with a three core and earth (then you should have one spare... connect this to the live out... then daisy chain the other light (without pir) across the live out and shared neutral and earth... then where you find the power for your floodlight... say in the kitchen with a fused outtlet... wire a switch across from the live supply to the spare wire in the three core...
