Looks like the missus wants a conservatory put on the house.
Live near Oxford so looking for recommendations of either people who will fit a pre-packed example or people who will build it to a specific spec.

Looking for a fairly standard 450cm x 350cm Victorian style - any ideas of potential costs ?

Thanks

Did mine myself. Wickes kit, dwarf wall, uPVC, 5 outer walls, french doors. Never laid a brick in my life b4, so went to local tech coll for 6 weeks to learn!
Very little change out of £5000, but that includes all bricks, concrete, cement, hire of mixer, plaster for house wall, tiles, electrics and a heater(thermostatic electric wall convector).
Spent abt 2 weeks of evenings doing the footings and laying the bricks etc, and another 2-3 days doing the walls/roof/roof glazing/sealing/plasterwork/electrics. add 2 more days for floor levelling and tiles, and you're there.
Worth a week off work. local company quoted me £9500 w/o tiles/floor/electrics etc.

Thumbs up

Give mate of mine Tony a call mail me for the number.

He's Swindon based and will only supply the top kit. Ultraframe roof etc. He's a one man band, subcontracts the building groundwork, and is very thorough. Will work out a lot cheaper than one a rip off windows\conservatory company.
