Yep - hobby stores in the Oxford Road in Reading have a good selection - Pretty helpful as well - also try Slough Radio Control (in Slough funnily enough) 
let us know what you get and how you get on (and how long it lasts)

I nearly bought a RC helicopter from hamleys a few months ago, great toy but I'm sure I'd crash it after a few minutes.
There is a place on the road from Slough to Maidenhead that sells planes, it's by the BMW garage.
