Try www.optix-solutions.com

I've seen some of their work and can say that it's some of the best around

And no I don't work for them

Mike

These look good too:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall...eshockwave.htm
http://www.freshwateriow.fsnet.co.uk/

check out some of the experimental stuff, it is amazing, I think that she learnt by using Frontpage express once and touching a "Webdesign for complete morons" book

I especially like the easy to remember URL

I know that the guy that helped to design :

http://www.sky.com/skynews/home

is now doing stuff freelance and at reasonable costs.

I'll let him know you are looking for someone.

Gary,
Hit the nail on the head.
And if only half of them people were again half as good as they thought they were.

Carl,
My link wasn't to a site I designed, it was a web design parody site. Frankly, some of the stuff people are charging for these days is apalling. I'd tell most of them to stick to their day jobs.

Caveat Emptor.

agreed blow, trouble is the bad ones lower the prices for the good ones, just like the software dev. biz, everything was cool until M$ bought out their joke development tool = Visual Basic !

Cem,
Unfortunately most small businesses don't know what to expect so pay over the odds for a load of crap in most cases
