2nd Car... What to buy???
#1
I want to replace our 2nd car as it is costing me an arm and a leg to run (Grand Cherokee Jeep Orvis 4.0L).
Wife says she still wants a 4x4 (of course, the journey to the nursery does include a small hill!)- and I say it has to be a smaller one!
Options?
RAV4
Nissan X-Trail
Mitsubishi Pinin Shogun thingy
Honda H-RV
Mazda Tribune
Suzuki Vitara
Any others?
Anyone got any of the above and have a comments on ownership etc...
Cheers all.
Mak.

My mother has had a Rav4 (larger 5 door one) for a few years now, she got it brand new on a '97 R plate and it has been a superb car, hence the 5 years of ownership and no plans to sell it in the forseeable future.
In this time it has never once had a fault, problem, break down, etc... and has been superb in every way. Even servicing is not expensive.
The other good thing is that they do not drive like a typical 4x4 and actually handle farily well with decent performance, thanks to a nice 2.0 litre 16v lump under the bonnet, which seems more biased towards torque than top end power, but does pull very well.
I can definately recommend one of these.
