Question

Does anyone know where you can buy paint-*****? As posted a while back, I'm going on a work orgonised paint-balling day and want to stock up on ammo. The centre sells them for £10/150 or £35/500. Seems a bit steep to me. I'm sure you can get them for less...

Nimbus, i can get them for you at trade prices, but first find out if the site you are going to will let you use your own paint, most won't unless it's a walk-on day.

I thought they had a policy of only ammo bought on the day was allowed to be used?

Stops people buy out of date stuff that can turn out lethal.

They tend to use a certain colour on the day too so you cant bring your own as it is easily spotted.

Being a dangerous game then I think this is fair.

Of course I am not suggesting that you would buy out of date stuff but hey its just a warning!

Good points Damaja.

I left a message for them, but I expect that they will say that you can only use their paintballs. I just feel that they are charging too much for them. Seen other places that only charge £6/100.

Agreed that prices are really quite stoopid.

I guess there are two ways you can run a paintball park,

charge a large sum up front and paintballs are cheap
or charge little up front then load on the cost to paintballs, equipment etc

Bah, dont make the mistake of what many people do though and hold back on buying the paintballs, just buy them and have an awesome time shooting the n00bs who have bought one ball per round!!

Any excess you can shoot the marshalls with when they not looking hehhehe

Agreed. I did think that perhaps I should try to be ecomomical with them concidering the price. But the whole day is only costing £35, so I might as well blow another £35 for 500 extra paintballs and then I can afford to shoot anything that moves.

Thinking about it, you are actually better to spend more. If you have limited ammo, you are more likly to get shot through not killing the opposition. Therefore you will end up spending most of your time back at camp waiting for the next game. Better to spend a few more quid and get more time in the games...
