Thumbs up

Fuji finepix 2800 is great, we've got one and so has my dad and we all rate it very highly.

Totally recommend it (it's our 2nd digital camera)

Jen, we don't use rechargables as the batteries seem to last for ever in it, much, much longer than in our old digital camera. I think my Dad uses rechargables in his.

We bought a 128mb smart media card for about £40 and get nearly a 1000 pics on it I can't remember which site we got it from tho, sorry!

Don't use it with suncream on your hands tho' 'cos all the writing comes off

Sal

Make sure you get 1800maH rechargeables cause they last for ages.

I managed to get 4 1800 rechargables and a charger for £18.

Suncream lol - I'll remember that Sal thanks!

We're going to go and look at one tonight - spent most the morning reading websites and reviews and they all seem to be positive...it'll be our first digital camera needed because I have a fasination with taking pics so the developing bills got too high now - looking forward to having a digital one

We'll get the 128mb card, hopefully that'll keep me busy for a while

Thanks for the recommendation rik - I'll go and have a look in the shops...I just remember pants one's that lasted about 10 minutes when I was little so I want to get some semi-decent one's this time

(a-very-excited) Jen

Right, just thought I'd do another update for those thinking of buying a Fuji 2800 - it's excellent!

Incredably easy to use - we even filmed part of the journey home from picking it up...loads of choice and options of varying options, IMHO also has excellent quality...although the cat wasn't too impressed...

Excellent and I've been playing with it for the last 2 days...got some interesting pics of the lounge wall if anyone's interested

...wasn't using it as a selling point, just saying the cat wasn't impressed! Obviously massively reduced with pants Hampshire County Council software to get the pic to upload on SN...quality's great on my wallpaper

Oh and thanks Mega, not to worry though - takes more than that to dampen my enthusiasm!

I know I've said it before, but if you need NiMH batteries have a look at WWW.SABAHOCEANIC.COM. V. cheap, v. good and they arrive in about 3 days.
