There seems to be an attitude of admiration for the cars eg the Morgan at the petrol station. Over here they'd be kicked out of the car by some scum if the cops hadn't already locked them up for having mis spaced number plates!

Anyone recognise the 'matt' black Skyline #160 or 166 that was at Elvington? A chance to do some proper speeds then you've got to come to Yorkshire - forget the Yanks

The Morgan was at Le Mans this year saw it at the circuit and then passed it on the way back to blighty, If you like this sort of road trip try going to Le Mans, nice open fast roads very few or no police more exotica such as Ferraris, lambo's Porches etc than you can shake a stick at. And all travelling at high speed to and from Le Mans
The fun only ends when you drive on the ferry to come home

I thought the documentary itself was pretty p1ss poor. The guy making it didn't have a clue. He managed to remove all feeling of speed and excitement from the event. He hitched a lift with the Mustang Ladies and all we got was a shot of them half-heartedly singing along with Mustang Sally and he tells us that they seemed to be having a more rock and roll time than anyone else.
I thought Ruby Wax did a better job of last year's Gumball and there was one other really good documentary about it as well, but I found last nights pretty boring, which is surprising given the subject matter. I guess the guys boring voice didn't help either.

the best documentasry was the 2000 one where they went up through the baltic states and back round via finland, sweden - i.e. a circular route to/from London
It was filmed by the lads who do Jackass (MTV) - they did it in a old 4.2 jaguar. I liked the bit where they swapped the license plate just before gettinga ticket in russia to "*****D" and the guy copied it out onto the speeding ticket...
and then the lotus v8 doing donuts in no mans land between Poland and some country.

Cool program..... What is to stop us lot @ SN organising a Lands End to John Ogroats type mission????
p.s. If I were making the rules, it wouldn't be a race, and you would not be allowed to use the motorways......
