Does anyone know if it is necessary to have the GB sticker on your car if you are traveling to:
1. EU countries
2. NON EU counries ?????

We realy don't want to stick the nasty sticker on our Scooby. We thought about the magnetic ones but someone sais they don't hold that well. Third option is to have the GB on the number plate, but we leave on Thrursday and I'm not sure if there is enough time.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Halfords do a GB sticker that will go inside your back window.

Worked fine for me in Spain for the Rally Cat

I have done approx 30k miles in the Continental Europe including the non-EU Switzerland in UK registered cars without a GB sticker and I've never heard of anyone getting done for not having one but believe that they are 'mandatory'.

PS. There is probably also a rule about not sticking them on your rear window either as that would reduce rear visibility!

PS2. I would always carry a warning triangle though in every country (including the UK) as they could protect you (and others) in the event of a breakdown.

Have fun!

True! I stuck down in the bottom corner so the spoiler obscures my view behind it anyway

And who looks behind them when driving? Foot to the boards and off we go

I got one of the ones from Halfords that sticks in the rear window. Just be sure to clean the window properly and it'll stick fine, and it peels off again very easily:

If you put it in the lower corner on the driver's side, then visibility isn't reduced because the headrest is in the way anyway. It's the same with the ABD sticker that I have on the back window - I never see that while I'm driving either.

Andy.
