Talking One of the most surreal but funny things i've seen

The Taliban on the dodgems and at the gym

Reminds me of this:

Never ever did I think I would see armed Taliban driving dodgems, going on a merrygoround or take their rocket launcher to a gym session

Edit - just to add i'm laughing at this outside of the context of what has happened in Afghanistan as i'm furious/disgusted with how 20 years of keeping these turds from running Afghanistan has turned out to be a huge waste of life, time and vast sums of money.

Note the lack of women enjoying those things!

We should never have gone into Afghanistan, its was purely a reactionary war following 9/11 with no plan.

The Afghans may not have had any freedom under the Taliban, but neither did they have anyone bombing their homes and schools. All they've known for the past 20 years is war, so its no surprise that they are willing to go back to the ways before the war!

I think as part of their modernisation they’ve decided to embrace electric cars but found there is a bit of an issue with range

Lets be honest they went there for the resources, not to stop terrorism. Poppy fields full to the brim to feed the opioid pandemic. Billions just there. If you go back further, there was war there, 3 generations at the very least have not known life outside of war. Its so sad
