Another icon gone. Helped the country and so many people through some very dark days.

 

Sad news. I remember being in the middle of Helmand surrounded by most of 45 Commando on Remembrance Day, all ‘bloke singing‘ we’ll meet again. She was a bit of a legend! She did well though, 103 years young. RIP.

 

Very sad news, but a very good innings! RIP Vera!

 

RIP .. lived just down the road from girlfriends nephew

 

Sad news indeed. Proud to say I saw her perform live once (Crystal Palace park, c.1985).

 

The world would be a better place with more people like her.
