Horrible but compelling viewing. I really enjoyed it

Its ok, the Russians are planning to make a similar series that blames the US for it...

Agreed with the above, nasty situation but very interesting to watch. The 5th episode really was good and explained alot.

That last episode was the icing on the cake ... a very clear explanation of how the whole disaster unfolded without all the jargon, that allows idiots like me to understand how a nuclear reactor works.

If you are interested in the physics and how it actually blew up, Scott Manley made a great video explaining it all.

Thought it was very good but at the same time utterly tragic how those people suffered. I also get annoyed with the idiots who have poked holes in its accuracy, they dont seem to understand that its not a documentary and only based on events

I don't watch that much TV, but Chernobyl was a don't miss thing. Recommended to anyone. Another one to watch is Looming Tower; fantastic and very sad that so many people probably lost their lives due to what looks like internal politics and ***** waving.

It was an excellent series, well acted and the sets and location were fantastic.

The scariest part for me was just how close we, the earth, were so close to full on nuclear devastation.

Exactly, so very close due to the incompetence/ignorance of a couple of chiefs.

They should really have had actors who at least spoke with a despicable me Gru type accent though.
The last episode was really good.
