anybody else watched the mini series about the nuclear disaster in chernobyl?
i dont usually watch much tv but the mrs was hounding me to watch it so i gave in, and i must say im pretty glad i did as i found it very interesting. goes to show just how crazy the russians are and that they tried to cover it up

That last episode was the icing on the cake ... a very clear explanation of how the whole disaster unfolded without all the jargon, that allows idiots like me to understand how a nuclear reactor works.

Thought it was very good but at the same time utterly tragic how those people suffered. I also get annoyed with the idiots who have poked holes in its accuracy, they dont seem to understand that its not a documentary and only based on events

I don't watch that much TV, but Chernobyl was a don't miss thing. Recommended to anyone. Another one to watch is Looming Tower; fantastic and very sad that so many people probably lost their lives due to what looks like internal politics and ***** waving.
It was an excellent series, well acted and the sets and location were fantastic.
The scariest part for me was just how close we, the earth, were so close to full on nuclear devastation.

They should really have had actors who at least spoke with a despicable me Gru type accent though.
The last episode was really good.
