Hi all,

I'm looking to install a tracker on our company site car as a locator only, I'm not interested in the telematics (mpg, over speed, harsh braking, etc etc), just something that pin points the cars location live, and maybe historically.

Any ideas please, preferably one that doesn't need a SIM card.


As a side note I have full telematics on 30+ fleet vehicles, but it's not needed for this car as there are ongoing monthly costs associated with this, or the package is expensive outright to purchase, and for the purpose of ensuring the car isn't being used for social use I just wish to track its location.

how do you intend to get it communicate without a sim card?

I believe there are system out there that don't use a sim. If I do need a sim version I'm trying to avoid paying a month sim charge to make it as cheap as possible. I'll try post it on LinkedIn for answer,

You can get a pay as you go sim and do it that way, whack a tenner of credit on there and use that sim.
