Digital Camera Advice wanted - please?

I have boiled down my choice of cameras to Nikon Coolpix 995 or the Sony DCS S75. Do any you have experience of one or both the these cameras? There does not seem to be much between them and both cost around the same amount. Thank you in advance.

pwebb, many thanks for that link. It has already helped me to get to these two cameras. I can't decide between them. The only concern is that both are around a year old and maybe there are even better cameras out now. I had also considered the Minolta S404 - but understand that although only a few months old has been discontinued. Advice from members is sought.
