One of my all time heroes; a guy who was as mechanically proficient as he was at riding. 
Always thought that he should have been knighted IMO
My grandad used to own a Vincent (Rapide upgraded to Shadow spec)...I wouldn't have the ***** to do what Surtees could on one....

Unique - in its literal sense - achievement.
His achievement wasn't celebrated enough, IMO.
Very sad when he lost his son in that freak racing accident. At least, now, he can spend the rest of his ethereal life with him (if you believe in that kind of thing).
