Parents on phones at school gate
A primary school in Middlesbrough has asked parents to stay off their mobile phones when picking up their children from school.

It's a shame that some parents actually need someone to point out to them that spending time asking their kids about their school day should be a priority

Yep, it's sad. A few months back we took our kids to a playground near to us. While I was having great fun with one of my kids pushing them on a swing and laughing with them, the mother next to me spent the whole time on her phone talking to friends about literally crap and ignoring her kid. The poor kid got no attention at all from the mother and even when they'd had enough on the swing and were getting distressed the mother just didn't notice and didn't care about anyone else other than herself.
Why do people like that actually have kids????
