Default Jedi-ism - not a religion.

Why not?
Like all religions it is following a myth, made up by old men to explain what they cannot explain to the masses. If you convince enough people who lack any meaning to their lives it will take off. But perhaps in years to come the more that follow the more notice will be taken.

As I said in the other thread, it's no different to believing Tolstoy is God or maybe even Moses and the lord of the rings is the history of mankind.

Buddhism is classed as a religion, are their beliefs and way of life based on a myth?

Jedi-ism as a religion, fair enough, but to class it as a race means I can no longer insult my brother.
