But what everyone is forgetting is that 11th hour was CET not GMT so armistice is actually 10am in the UK.

We marked our respects at 11:00 with our silence, and we remember them by wearing our poppy wristbands.

I'd also like people to remember the flaming politicians, who, unable to resist another gesture, lengthened the fighting UNTIL 11/11 at 11am.
Quite a few more died before that time came round, and need not have done so. The war was over many days before.

Not forgetting that politicians started the war in the first place then packed off young men to fight it for them and die.

Nice to see Corbyn making an effort today.
Still remember Michael Foot in his 'donkey' jacket at the Cenotaph...

My utmost respect to the little ones in the street parades today. Some of them have fought their own, very grim battles with their own unforeseen circumstances that absolutely floored them! I'm so proud of them for rising again, and marching to pay respect to the fallen ones! Children of today are the future for tomorrow.
