Loads of youtube videos showing some of them getting beat up. Don't know if they are fake or not but IMO if your dressing as a "scary" clown you deserve to get beating. Don't terrorise or threaten people that's not cool.

+1 totally agree someone's had their fingers chopped off in a clown incident round my neck of the woods crazy! Could you imagine the damage to your car if you ran one over! Crazy

Yeah, someone out here will get shot, sooner or later. Weird to just randomly decide to dress as a clown.
Sucks as I was planning to go for the scary clown look for Halloween in the office again this year.

Serves them right. Pulling out fake (or real knifes) on people, you deserve the biggest hiding of your life.

Well, with Halloween at our door step, we will see more scary clowns around this season. I came across this piece of news today, where Kate Middleton's parents are being criticised for supplying far too distasteful costumes to the market:

Things have gone bad to worse. I'd rather see a child throwing an egg to my window over the Halloween as a good old fake ghost or a fake devil than appear on my door step in such disturbing costumes. They're not even funny.

Our local paper is hyping this up out of all proportion, calling it a killer clown epidemic.
The real clowns you have to worry about around here don't wear masks. They stagger out of wetherspoons after 10 pints and punch you in the back of the head whilst you are drawing money out of the cash machine.

thanks JT
but two things - he is simply reacting to playground talk, and he does not need much excuse to come into our bed
but he IS an example of someone who does feel anxiety, and the anxiety of others - by a sort of awareness and simple osmosis
for example he was very upset by Brexit - he sort of got all the doom and gloom and fear mongering that went with it all
