Assuming the all-seeing, all-knowing 'The Christ' KNEW he was gonna be resurrected, then surely his, on the face of it, 'unselfish' bodily sacrifice was ultimately not the great, humbling gesture it's deemed to be? Certainly, as championed by his fervent followers.
After all, resurrection would surely mean he had 'nothing to lose' anyway......Unlike your common or garden mortal human!
So, in actuality, it's a hollow 'lesson' for man- and woman-kind.
(That's if you believe in all that rot in the first place, of course.)
