I'm afraid Iv let the same diehards leave repeated messages on the landline ( which I hardly use) to prove a point to them that they'll fall further down the work list if they don't call my mobile.

The ones i have had in the past break down at the crucial moment, or develop some glitch.

Then, its as if it's my fault. - "...I've been trying to phone you all day..." "...Why didn't you text me back.."

Work are funny about it too. They keep asking for updated mobile numbers in case they need to contact me- and they can't grasp the notion that I don't have one.

I have one, but avoid using it as far as I possibly can. Anything I need to do online gets done on a hard-wired desktop PC or laptop if the option's available, and any phoning from a landline.

I use my phone as a 23mp camera, 4K camcorder, engine code clearer, guitar tuner, db reader, laptop, torch, calculator, alarm, bluetooth/headphone music player, keyboard, barometer, audio recording device, altimeter, handheld gaming device. Rarely to phone or text on though as I have no friends.

You think you're functioning normally, but so does the bloke with the flat cap and whippet riding a steam engine with a monocle on his dog.

I think I'm on the limit of dependency but you could take the phone function away and I'd be fine. Take two factor authentication away and I'm not making money.
