hinteresting, does mean what car under £39,999 gives the best bang for your buck? no huge tax to worry about

Does it mean hawks, hatchs and new ones are gonna struggle to hold their value with the tax being so high on them

Yes, I have been saying for a while, when these relatively cheap but high VED banded cars get to a value where your are paying 25% of the cars value (year on year) to keep it on the road, you will be paying people to take it away

These days cars have to be taxed, insured and MOT'd (or sorn'd) no half way houses

Brilliant! So after April 2017 it will only cost me £140 to tax a post-2017 second hand petrol guzzling SUV/luxo-barge. So much for reducing CO2!

I'm looking at getting a new car but since I only do about 2000miles a year I don't want to pay a fortune for tax. Most of the cars I'm looking at are £505 a year now as they are v8's so it will be fun to see what the new tax rate ends up for the cars I like.
