Do you essentially have to be driving fast to topple the car? Can't you just run over a bin, even at 20mph and turn the car on it's roof like that?

I can imagine that you don't have to be old to wear your trousers up to your neck, though. People with massive pot bellies must also wear them as high, in order to anchor them to a smaller line; as a replacement to their waist line. Otherwise, their trousers might end up being just a foot in length from their speedo line down.

You can see why he may think he's better off pulling his trousers as far up his body than let them be so difficult to reach at crucial times such as urge for toilet or if his trousers accidentally fall down in public, he'd have great difficulty gathering them from the floor.
