Question Looking into the past

Telescopes

I want to get my son a book on telescopes especially the new breed of super powerful massive units now being built.

Plenty on Amazon but some guidance would help. Anyone interested in the subject have any recommendations please?

James is 27 now so serious adult readable book/s needed. He has a particular interest in astronomy.

Cheers, David

There are plenty of organised star gazing events in Dorset (I am only a few miles over the border from you) as it has some of the best dark skies in the country.

Am sure there are some clubs or evens that will point you/your son in the right direction for some good reads.
