To End All Wars

Jesus says
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter in law against her mother in law – a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household. Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lost it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

No. As a Plymouth lad, most of my family are or were in the services - Navy and Royal Marines. I was due to go in to the Navy (Dartmouth), but a back injury sustained playing football meant I was disqualified via the medical.

Ok, but it's not 100% true that 90% of wars are religious. If we measure war by death, the greatest atrocities lay firmly at the feet of the atheist community.

although the levels of idolatry for Stalin and Hitler reached almost "religious" levels
and the Catholic church had a dubious role in it all
but I take your basic point
to me its a redundant argument, and if religion is involved it is probably a proxy anyway
wars are usually about access to resources/poverty etc
