Default Courier Recommendations as parcel over 1m

I am having trouble finding a courier to send a kitchen airer (6ft). Weights no more that 3kg.

I am getting stupid quotes £30+!

Any recommendations (tried parcel2go, paisley, parcel monkey, ipost)?

I used Interparcel (using TNT) recently to send a 157cm snowboard. Cost just over £11.

Myhermes was no good. It seems most parcel collections are done in peoples own cars hence why over 1m is an issue.

Used Parcelforce in the end. £11.
