Default UK tea-time TV hits a new low.

Why on earth do advertising managers think that I want to watch some skank grinding the hard skin off her ugly feet, that she got from wearing stupid, pointy high heeled shoes, when I'm having my tea?

Disgusting.

I rarely watch TV as its utter crap these days. A couple of nights ago we were sitting around the table eating dinner and the TV was on in the kitchen. An advert came on for some vaginal disease cream stuff. This was about 7pm and my 10 year old son was sitting there. Not exactly what I wanted to hear let alone my child!

Haven't had any form of broadcast TV in years now and don't miss it or the adverts.

Cut the cord!

I'm glad I don't have kids; I could I forsee the conversation; "Daddy what's that for?"

"Its for when mummy smells of fish"

Later that day;

"Mummy, do you use Vagisil?"

"Who told you about that?"

"Daddy says you smell of fish"

< cue music > "There maybe trouble ahead.....

Here we go......suddenly everyone on SN is a socialite / doesn't have time to watch TV / thinks TV is for people with no lives etc etc blah blah, much like the Facebook thread.

I love TV personally, I find it a great way to relax in the evening. OP is right though, some honkin' adverts on the TV at the mo lol!!

I have not regularly watched commercial TV in ages. The RWC is an exception but the adverts bug the sh*t.

I used to think some quiz shows were as low as you could go but then the TV execs completely outdo themselves & come up with 'celebrity' special editions.
Invariably 10 times worse than the standard version.

Human endeavour reaches new lows.....................amazing!
